Hey guys, i ordered a new mobo the other day (an atx one) as i used to have a MATX mobo which limited me on many aspects like RAM size etc. I also had everything installed on a HDD and a SSd which i had in my com, what i need to know is, once i have put my CPU, ram etc on the new mobo and then connect my HDD and SSd, will the computer just boot up considering windows is installed on my SSd. Or am i gonna have trouble or have to re install everything etc. If anyone can answer ASAP would eb appreciated, will also answer any qeustions needed.

Solution
The answer is dependent on the difference in drivers.
is the chipset on the new motherboard and the old the same, probably not.

Worst case it will not boot, is driver used for boot may be diff.
The best solution is to remove as many of the "old drivers" as possible, ie your IEEE, sound, video (Use uSoft generic Video driver), ect.
Then Install in you system and load all specific NEW MB drivers.
Open control panel, device manager and look for any "!" indicating a driver problem.

Personally, I always re-install OS when updating a MB.
Pain, but generally worth it.

thank you
When you say chipset? as in what type socket or? (Sorry not amazing on these stuff

But are you also saying if i delete everything of my SSD/HDD and do a complete reinstall it will work? I dont actually mind doing that as i dont have anything to loose but would be alot easier to just plug in and go

Assuming no hardware problems, a clean reinstall on the SSD is guaranteed to work.
