I tried 1.29v and 4.4ghz on my i5 4670k cooled by a corsair H100i with SP120 HPs....BSOD after 1 second of prime. Does that mean NO WAY i can get 4.4? All i want is 4.4 not 4.5+. Whats the max safe voltage to go up to and what do you recommend?

Thanks

It's not an exact science as to what the max voltage is. If you have liquid nitrogen cooling it, you can go 1.5+ V.
With that cooler you should be able to go a lot higher. Check your temps though - @ 1.35 you're likely to start getting close to 100 degrees (which is max temp for the CPU). This is OK though as during "real world" usage, you'll never pin your processor at 100% for a long time.

I would not go above 1.4V with good temps, that H100i is good for overclock, try to stay at 1.35V

z87 chipsets have something called adaptive voltage. I use this. What it does is allows the MOBO to reduce voltage when not being used. When my PC is idling, it sits at .7 volts and goes up to my setting of 1.35 when playing games. With settings like this, you're CPU will be so out of date it will be a paper weight before it dies (as long as you keep the temps in check).
PS - DO NOT stress test the CPU with adaptive voltage turned on as it can actually increase the voltage over your offset amount if it thinks it needs the power. During normal usage, it won't ever go over though.

That's a nominal voltage, tested under "normal" conditions and not with the same motherboard and cooler that your are using. Use 1.35V or 1.4V for 24x7 will not kill your CPU in 1, 2 or 3 years, I am pretty sure that you can re-sell that CPU after use that voltage and overclock and the new user will have not problems with it.
