Which £450 PC?

Solution
You have to shop around for the best deals at low budget.

Something like this would be a bit better for you.

I would go with this...

Having 2 stick of RAM will let you run them in dual channel.
Other then that the 2 system are practically the same.

Only real difference between the 2 is the single stick ram vs dual ram. You always want dual channel ram, you get roughly an extra 13% performance out of having 2 sticks vs 1. Overall the build looks pretty good for the price, if you can afford an extra 50 GBP then I would grab a fx-8320.

Also, I will have to take a look at that mobo since I am not familiar with that specific board's quality.

In the[strike] first[/strike] second build you have picked what looks like 1x8GB ram, this would run in single mode since it's only one stick. 2x4GB RAM will run in dual mode which is faster.

550W PSU> More room to upgrade.

Intel i3 4130 > Faster than the FX-6300 unless the FX-6300 is overclocked in terms of gaming performance(and it has a noteably quieter stock cooler)

The Intel path also has better upgrade options than AM3+ and It's sad to say as I like AMD products.

Oh and this is cheaper.

I just bought almost this exact system. Unfortunately not all parts have arrived, so no time to test it.

Aw. It'll obviously perform well though; at least in my opinion, especially due to the R9 270x.
