Question about PCIE cord from psu to video card

Im hooking up my MSI GTX 770. The cable my psu came with for the pcie starts as an 8 pin then splits off into two 6+2 ends. My 770 has two 8 pin slots. Do I hook both ends from the same pcie cable, or one from the pcie cable and one from another cord coming from my power supply?

If you put the 6+2 pin in there it will work exactly how an 8 pin would. It really is just an 8 pin cable but with 2 of the pins disconnect from the other 6, to support lower end graphics cards or other pci hardware, as some don't need 8 pins but just 6 pins. If correct you should even be able to click them back together to insert them into the slots easier.

My question is about the two 8 pin inputs on my card. Is it ok to run the same pcie cable from my psu because it has two 6+2 heads, or is that for dual cards, and i should only run one of the 6+2 heads and an 8 pin connector to my psu?

its a RAIDMAX HYBRID 2 RX-730SS 730W ATX12V V2.2/ EPS12V (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817152036)

The pcie cable the psu came with is split into two 6+2 heads, should i plug both into my single gpu or just one and run another 8 pin connector from my psu?
