Starting after I overclocked my cpu, I have experienced an increase in start up time (30+ seconds nows vs less than 10 before). Once booted and logged in my computer basically freezes and program s dont start for a solid 2 minutes. The task bar shows the network symbol as a spinning circle. I have no items in my startup, and task manager doesnt show anything bizarre. What happened to my comp? Why wont programs open as quickly. Why is my boot time now over a minute compared to my less than 15 seconds before? Any tips?

Solution
1. What CPU do you have?
2. What are your CPU temperatures both at idling and under load?
3. How did you overclock you processor? Did you use FSB or multiplier or both? IF you used FSB then your RAM as well may have been overclocked, unstable RAM overclocks can lead to problems similar to those you are having.
