okay so today i finished building my new gaming pc with a brand new corsair cx 500 psu. My pc is connected to an extension cord. Now there is leakage of current throughout my pc case (mostly around the back) i.e. i get weak electric shocks whenever i touch it. what could be the reason behind it? is it a faulty psu? or is it because of the extension cord. Are extension cords not grounded?

The CX 500 is a poorly built power supply with cheap capacitors , have you tried another outlet.

Are you plugged into a surge protector?
