Hi. Since I built my pc the hdmi audio cuts out when I start playing games. It's fine otherwise. As a work-around im using an optical lead 3.5mm and on board audio drivers however under strain I get audio stutter with increasing frequency. Any ideas why? Im using an evga 760 gtx on an HDTV. Graphically its excellent, runs cool & quiet. 8gb ram corsair cx500psu. Any ideas appreciated!

Ran into the same issue using the HDMI out from my GPU into a Home Theater Receiver. I switched back to the 3.5mm jack. Kinda sucks but is much more stable than the HDMI sound. I did driver updates and every trick I could come up with.

Tell me about it... anyway nice to know its not just me. I might borrow a monitor just to eliminate the tv as the problem.

It's best better to not run your audio through the GPU anyway. The GPU is just one more passthrough to muddy up your audio quality.

I dont mind using the 3.5mm jack but the audio stuttering that results is what really annoys me.
