I have recently decided on buying a new computer, upgrading from a laptop.

This is my first time building one, and trying to figure out specs for it, so here I am.

I am wanting to spend $600, because the monitor is around $100, and so is the OS, so I have to leave room there. I prefer nVidia, and I want the best gaming computer for quality, and quantity.

I would like to play Minecraft, Skyrim, Rust, other steam games, and other things with this. I am planning on upgrading in the future. Please make sure the build is safe, so that the parts don't break after a couple months.

So is it $600 including the monitor and OS, or $600 not counting the OS and monitor? That's a big difference performance wise lol

That's just explaining that the build is strictly $600, without OS and Monitor. Sorry if it was confusing.

How is the case? Is it decent for cooling, and will it overheat my computer. That scares me.

How is the Memory cards? I've never heard of GeIL, which scares me because I don't want it to die on me.

Definitely won't overheat. You don't need to worry about that with a single card.

GeIL is a good manufacturer. RAM is RAM, and they have just as much chance of being bad as any other maker.

How about for shaders, anyone know if FPS could be good for that?

I'd say probably 60-70 or so at 1080p. I'm not too familiar with Shaders though. If you plan on recording or streaming, probably about half that from what I've seen.

If he is going to be recording gameplay alot then an nvidia card is the way he should go for shadowplay.
