Hello guys!

I need your help badley. I currently have a Silverstone Strider Gold 1000w PSU. I'm going to be changing my components around and started to wonder if my PSU is big enough. So I went to this site : http://extreme.outervision.com/PSUEngine

And they told me I needed a 1200w PSU!!!

Im going to be running:

An i7 4970x over clocked to as much as I can get it.

In an Asus Rampage 4 Formula

With 2 AMD R9 290x OR 2 7970 Ghz edition if I don't have enough power

8 120mm fans

My system is custom liquid cooled so I have 2 MCP35x pumps

2 cold cathode lights

2 ssds

A keyboard, mouse, and USB charging dock for my phone.

And finally a blu ray player.

I don't want to have the PSU run at 100% load. Around 60% load is best as that is the peak efficiency.

I apologize that this is a lengthy question but I would really appreciate the help. Thank you!!

Yes your PSU is sufficient to run your specs with those cards , and 1000w is just about right with the 2- 290's.

This is one of the BEST power supplies on the market and would give you all the power you need and some.

With overclocking and custom cooling go with this one.

The thing is that I've spent hours custom braiding the cables on my current power supply. So if I get a new one all that work and money will be lost. However performance before looks, if I NEED to get a new PSU then I will do so. But it would be best if I could safely use mine. Thanks a lot for all the advice guys (:
