Weird Power supply issue

I have a 600 watt power supply on this computer. I tried to add a SSD today, a 128gb OCZ Agility3. The drive was/is working perfectly this morning. Now, when I plugged it in, the power does not go on. I unplug it, the power goes on fine. I figure my computer needs under 400 watts to run and with a coolermax 600 watt PSU, nothing. Is it the power supply? Could one of the rails be bad? Any info is appreciated.

Coolmax or Cooler Master? I doubt plugging in an SSD would cause failure, but it could just be a bad power supply.

That may be your problem, they're not a very well-reputed brand. When gaming or anything, do you get crashes? Have you tried using another SATA data/power lead?

Yeah, but the other one is on the same rail. The rig runs perfectly without the SSD installed. I'm on it now, no issues...even with the GTX760. Weird.

What happens when you take the SATA that's currently on the HDD and use it on the SSD? Leaving the HDD unplugged and using the same cables when your PC is stable.

I gave up. The computer would need 2 drives to function, so if I can just have one, I kept the old HD. Put the SSD into my main rig for gaming.

Thanks for the help.
