i5-520m stuttering in games (LoL) ... Also what games can i5 play?? O and how do you OC it to 2.93 ghz??

I have really fast internet and I know that is not the problem. I play League of legends (LoL) and every once in a while the computer just lags and then goes back to 40 or 50 fps. On my other computer a really crappy E-300 it stays the same 20-30 fps. There is no micro lag here and there. Am I missing a driver or is just Riot servers?? Also what games can I play. I mean like does planetside two work? For me this is amazingly fast due to my **** apu I come from and I dont want to give it up so does any one know if it needs to go back?? Also how do you OC it?? It says that you can go up to 2.93 from 2.4 ghz. But how?!?! Thanks!!! Last but not least out of curiosity ... what i3 does this i5 match up to?? Thanks a bunch guys!!

You cannot overclock mobile (laptop) CPUs.... well actually you can with Haswell CPUs with the "MX" designation, but those CPUs alone costs $900+.

The i5-520m can automatically overclock itself to a max of 2.93GHz when only one core is being used. If both cores are used then it probably only goes up to around 2.7GHz. This is done through SpeedStep and is generally on by default.

The i5-520m is capable of playing current games, but it also depends on what graphics chip you have.

Compared to a modern core i3 when running at 2.7GHz (since many games can use 2 cores), it should be roughly equal to a current generation Haswell core i3 running at about 2.15GHz.
