My Alienware 17 had runs perfect with AC adapter. Everything are fine, but whenever i unplug the AC adapter. The fps dropped dramatically, it would only be 1/3 of the originally fps which means it's impossible for me to play any games without AC adapter. I had contact Dell, and they checked my hardware, there are no problem with my hardware. I have checked that the power option is always on :High performance. This is weird that my laptop has such low fps without ac adapter. I've tried many laptops with low configuration, and they even runs better without charger. Please help me to find a solution for it.

I'm kind of surprised Dell didn't say anything. It's good that there are no hardware problems, but that didn't actually fix your issue; what did they say to that?
In any case, what you are experiencing is normal for laptops. It is downclocking to conserve battery life, they do that when not plugged in. In general, laptops, even gaming ones, aren't designed to be gamed on while running on batteries. I would give dell a call again and find out exactly what is controlling this on your machine, as well as how to make changes to it.

I think your laptop is running on the internal graphics integrated to the mobo while on battery. Its the same with my old laptop with SLI config ..on batteries it just turned one 780m off.
