Now that I have done a few weeks of research and chosen all the parts I need, I checked the websites Newegg and Tigerdirect ( the only two computer part websites I know of. ) for my list of parts and neither of them carried them. But I did find the parts on Amazon. So the question is would Amazon be a good place to buy the parts? Or should I find some other place to buy them?

If you checked newegg and tigerdirect for your parts and they didn't carry any of them it is time to seriously reconsider your build. You either picked old/outdated parts or obscure parts of brands that they do not carry. The fact that you can't find your parts up there is rather concerning, post up your part list so others can make sure that they will work together?

Other than that, PcPartPicker is good for finding your parts at a good rate, as for buying from amazon make sure you are buying from reputable vendors off of amazon, if you're buying a used 780 for $90 you're gonna have a bad time....

I prefer www.newegg.com or www.newegg.ca (one in the same basically). I haven't shopped anywhere else. Purolator exress comes from the states and on my front door in central canada in 3 - 4 days.

Edit: Yes, if you can't find it on Newegg you are looking for ancient, outdated stuff. Forget that stuff and get the newer AM3+ motherboards and Vishera FX CPU builds, or LGA 1150 and Haswell builds.

I double checked Newegg and I found some of them. I guess I didn't see them in the first look. But they didn't carry the Phenom ii x4 965 BE I was looking for. That is a older CPU as I understand but for the price I thought it would be a good upgrade. The MOBO I'm buying is a AM3+ but I simply don't have the money to get anything much more than that Phenom. And any extra money I have I would rather spend on the video card.
