Monitor Flickering Issues

Once every few minutes my monitor will "flicker" quickly. I'm unsure if this is due to my CPU, or due to my GPU, or my monitor is getting old (it's roughly a year and a half old.)

The CPU Cooler keeps the CPU cool during regular usage and during gaming (Skyrim, Dungeon Defenders, etc...) I thought I had fixed the problem when I went inside to make sure my graphics card was pushed in all the way (and it was) and it stopped flickering for a few hours. It then came back, and it's still here. I would like it gone though, as it can be quite annoying. Thanks ahead of time for any help you can provide.

System Specs:
OS: Windows 7, 64-bit
CPU: AMD FX-9590 @ 4.7 GHz
RAM: Kingston 16GB'
GPU: Radeon 7870 GHZ Edition with 2 GB of VRAM
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO

Monitor Refresh Rate is set at 60hz like it originally was as well. It's also using a VGA connection.

Alright, was a facepalm on my end. I found my HDMi cord, and found the slot that it connects to. As of writing this, it seems to be working fine and there's currently no flickering. Thank you!

My GPU doesn't support HDMI. I went to try and checked on the back of my computers case and there's no slot for the HDMI port. My monitor does support HDMI, my GPU does not.
