ok so i have a headset its a razer kraken and its been working and all for my youtube videos. Now it semms that if i plug it in all the way by this i mean if you dont know it has a plug in about half way up the cord that you plug into and it has you know the normal nothes and all but when i plug it as far as it goes it dies. If i plug int oa very small portin it works but if it moves even a little it dies now before my sound would be bad whe nplugged in too but i managed to fix that so i would like to fix the mic because in most of my recent videos i go in talking and it ends with my mic dead/ so please help!

Hmmm.. the output socket seems to be the problem... If that is the issue there is not simple solution. I suppose that you use your motherboard output socket to get the sound out. The only easy solution would be external sound card/dac... There are some metal snippets in the sockets that has been damaged/loosened and it will be cheaper to buy new motherboard than fix that socket. You may try to make your plug a little bit thicker by using some plastic ring in the upper end of your plug, but not sure is it will keep the plug in the right place like the internal metal holders that are inside the socket.

Yes, that does not sound probable. Can you try with different headphone? Not likely that problem is with headphone, because of your problem description, but better be sure, before trying anything else...
