Hi, i'm getting the blue snowball usb microphone and i was wondering if it would be okay to connect it to one of the front panel usb on the front of my pc. See i have 6 usb ports, 2 usb 3 on back , two 2.0 on back, and two 2.0 on front, It seems like a waste to use the 3,0 ports for just a mic, and the two back 2.0 ports are taken up by the mouse and keyboard. So will i not ruin my audio by using front panel connectors, keep in mind i am just using it for chat with friend/ some YouTube commentaries, no music or stuff like that

More about : usb port connect mic

Don't use a USB 3.0 port, ESPECIALLY if you are running Windows 8/Windows 8.1. You can install it on a USB 3.0 port, but many times it poses a problem and USB 3.0 must be disabled in the BIOS in order for the installation to work. I've helped many people with that very issue. And before you ever plug the mic in for the first time, INSTALL THE DRIVERS FIRST. This can also eliminate a headache for you.

Let me know if you are successful, and if you have problems let me know and we'll go from there.
