hi, I am wondering if the QHD or WQhd 2560x1440 monitors or HI-Rez monitors if they make a difference over a 1080p 24inch ips monitor. am wondering if that standered only makes bigger screens better or if it will be a lot better even on a 24inch

Definitely not, just go with your native 1080p resolution. 1440p will only make a difference on 27 inch + supported monitors.

A 27" 1440p screen has the same pixel density as a 21" 1080p screen if you want some perspective.

It is not so much about whether it makes a difference, of course it does, but I guess what you want to know is if it is all that noticeable. It definitely will be noticed, though it may not be preferred. For gaming, you will need more GPU horsepower to run it, and at the desktop, text will be noticeable sharper, but everything will be smaller unless you scale the desktop. At which point, some programs may not properly scale, as they were not designed for people with high PPI.
