So like the title says, my PC connected hardwire into my modem gets 55Mbps, while my PC wifi ~25 feet away gets ~0.10 Mbps.

INFO:
Router/Modem - Cisco DPC3825
ISP - Cox Communications (I pay for 50Mbps down, 10Mbps up)
Connection type: Wifi
Number of Devices on modem: 4

PC Specs:
MoBo - MSI MS-7752
Power - Corsair TX850
Wifi Adapter - Belkin N150
OS - Windows 7 Home Premium v. 6.1.7601 Service Pack 1 Build 7601

My question is, what is the best way to get better connection for my PC 25 ft from modem? My home only has phone and coax jacks.

Is it possible to somehow connect my PC to the coax wall jack? I would rather connect hardwire than wifi if possible.

OK.
No, that won't work.

From Cox - Modem -> router -> devices, either wired or wireless. Your devices must hang off the router.
(Modem and router may actually be/probably are the same little box)

WiFi bandwidth is VERY environmentally dependent. Many things can interfere. Kitchen, cordless phones, neighbors...
Your best solution is to try to run an ethernet cable from router to PC.
Secondary solution is to try a powerline solution. The is house wiring dependent.
Third is to possibly move the router. Sometimes even moving just a few feet left or right can change things.

The furthest I can move the router is 2-3 feet. My main PC isn't wireless so it has to be directly connected.

How does the powerline thing work? Doesn't that use wifi too?
