r9 290x and fx 8350 power supply requirements

Wanted to know if a Corsair TX650 psu was enough for Overclocking my 8350 to 4.6ghz with a r9 290x?

To be honest, it probably is, but just to be sure you have enough power (290X is really power hungry! so is the 8350, esp with an OC). If you want to be completely safe, go for a 750W power supply. Hope this helps!

It depends on your voltage multiplier but you will have about 150 - 200 watts to play with. It just depends on how good you chip is.

The 650 should be more than enough, can always go bigger it won't hurt anything and might last through another build after this
