Well, if it's got a PCI-e 16x slot and given that the GTX 650 has a low power consumptio, then I do think upgrading to the GTX 650 is possible

Your CPU and RAM will hinder it significantly. We've been using 8GB DDR3 RAM for the past few years now. So you might not notice any difference. And your Power Supply needs to be capable of running the 650.

There is always a benefit from adding a dedicated video card to your system. The old best price performance card was the gtx 450. But now that card isn't worth the money anymore because it is no longer in production. So the 650 would be a good fit for your but it would require a power supply upgrade. You could do something like a gtx 750 ti which would give you a good increase in frame rates but it won't require you to upgrade your power supply because it requires no PCI-E power connectors. So you could either buy the 650 and purchase another power supply for I would guess about $140 or you could get something like the gtx 750 ti which wouldn't require anything extra. I have seen videos of these cards running on systems with power supplies as low as 230 watts
