Hello everyone, I have a question about my motherboard, graphics card, and the power supply.

This is my current motherboard: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

This is my current graphics card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

I'll be getting a second graphics card of the same one above once it becomes available.

This is my current power supply: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

My friend told me that since I'm going to be putting in a second graphics card, I need more power. He told me that 750w should be a good amount.

This is the one I was looking at: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

Obviously, if you have a better one, let me know :D

But he also told me that the cables need to be the same, how do I find out if the cables are the same? Or if it's safe to use this power supply? Or do I need to keep looking?

Hope to get some good responses.

For that rig and both GPUs a good 600 Watt will suffice and still have headroom, so your choice is more than sufficient ;)

As I said, my friend also told me to make sure the cables match, do these two match or what? I have no idea how to tell if the cables match or not.

750w is good for your GPU..If you're planning to upgrade more powerful gpu and installing SLI's I recommend you buy 750w+
Corsair,Antec these are good brands.
