Hi, I have had this system and used it for almost a year now:

Intel i5-3570k CPU (OC to 4ghz)
Corsair xms3 2x4gb RAM
Gigabyte gtx 560 OC edition
Cooler master m1000 PSU
Hitachi deskstar HDD 1tb
Crucial m500 120gb SSD (OS installed on this)

So the problem is I see random areas of pixels that are usually red (sometimes green or blue) when viewing any media such as videos movies or even some images. I am wondering what the problem is. Thank you in advance

The areas aren't in a constant place and move around depending on what's going on in the video etc

If you can use a Program to monitor your Video Card Temps, such as MSI Afterburner, that would be nice. Could be an overheating issue

Also, Have you made any recent changes (Drivers/Software/Hardware) recently that could have caused the issue?

And what Version is your current Video Driver?

Ah yeah I just checked the temperature of the GPU on MSI afterburner and on CPUID and the max temperature when watching a movie is only around 32 C. No recent changes to be honest. Just checked and apparently my GeForce experience has stopped automatically downloading drivers. I'll download it and report back, thanks.

Also forgot to mention that I overclocked the GPU slightly around 6 months ago but it's been working fine until now

Found out that it was just the hdmi cable that's the problem by trying another. Should've checked that before posting. Thank you for your help Simmons33.
