USB keyboard unable to use in bios

Hi I turned on my PC after a while and it wanted to do updates, at about 20% we had a power failure and now it is not reading my USB keyboard so I can't tell it to boot, I have tried every USB on the computer and have even used an old USB-PS2 adapter and still nothing. It lights up my keyboard when it is in the USB ports, nothing lights up with the adapter.

Any assistance would be great cheers

Turn off inbetween switching usb ports even though that is typically not necessary

Pull power from pc and attempt to turn on to clear residual power from motherboard

Try a diff keyboard

Make sure not to use any use hubs

Keyboard does not even work in bios correct? Is it eufi bios?
