Hello people,

I am about to buy the following parts for my custom build pc.

-amd A10-7850K (processor)
-GIGABYTE GA-F2A88XM-HD3 (motherboard)
-Mushkin 4 GB DDR3-2133

I'm not sure if they'll work just fine together, because the processor is not in the supported list on the motherboard. But when I use the PC-builder tool it seems ok.

The site I used: http://www.alternate.com/

Anyone experience with this APU + mothermoard as a gaming set-up (or just the APU)?

So my question to you, will this combo work fine? Oh, and Windows 8 shouldn't be a problem with this, right?

Thanks in advance!

Thanks dude, I know 4 GB isn't much, but I'll buy 4 gb more in like 2 months... So that won't be a issue. The upgrade path can be a issue, but what kind of upgrades are you thinking of? I might buy a new GPU. But I don't think I'm going to change the processor very soon. And if I am going to get a new one, it will be in about 1.5-2 years at least :)

I think I'll be playing a bit of games on it. I've read that BF4 should be playable on low-med settings, which is ok to me. I was looking for a light gaming pc / good desktop pc. So I thought it would be good. I am not a "hardcore gamer", so I won't play that much high graphics games. I might place a new GPU on the motherboard, so the GPU in the processor won't hold me back that much, I think.
