I am a total noob who is building a computer for the first time. I have the motherboard, cpu, ram, and power supply in and everything connected, but there are some wires in the back which are confusing me.

It looks like they power the top panel, but I have no idea what to connect them to. They look like the male version of the fan connectors but I don't know if they go to the fans. Do I just need an adapter? Should I plug them into the power supply or the fan controls on the motherboard? Any help would be great, thanks.

Hope these images work.

Can't see the pics. You need to upload them to somewhere publicly accessible like imgur.

What's the case?

Some cases have built-in fan controllers. If so, you can plug fans into them.

Please post a picture before doing ANYTHING, plugging stuff into the wrong holes could be disastrous.

The look like the power connectors for case fans. The smaller 3-pin rather than the larger 4-pin molex.
