I want to build a gaming pc and I am not very much interested in double or triple or very big monitors. I have a 17" monitor and I want to play latest games at a good fps. Please suggest a good graphic card. I want to to be less than $280.

hey there you need to have strong cpu to push strong GPU forward Strong cpu needs a good mother board & enough ram & good PSU . so it means if your going for Gaming graphic you need your other parts to be good & for Monitor good choice . big monitors will make you pay so much for Specs .

ok for that monitor i will recommend you these :

CPU : i5 3470 ( or newer 4xxx series ) & go for Non k cpu if your not going to overclock

Mother board : ASUS P8H77-V LE ( dont go for Z series unless you want to overclock )

Ram : 2x4GB DDR3 1600Mhz or 1333mhz

PSU : 650-700watt quality PSU

im having this system with Windows 8.1 & i can assure you Performance is GR888888 . since we both have 17 ish monitors . games dont need ultra res so you can maxout everything & play them above 60FPS . yes, im talking about BF4 , METRO Last light & ... :D

But which graphic card do you use DukiNuki?
I think I will go with your given specs but upgrade the i5 processor to the 4xxx series
Now can someone suggest a graphic card with enough power to max out games on a 17" monitor
