I am trying to decide on a budget monitor for my xbox one gaming. I have narrowed it down to two choices. It's between these two:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B007HSKSMI/ref=pd_aw_sbs_...
I am getting it mainly for call of duty but also play casual games like fifa and battlefield. I know the benq is probably better for call of duty but I am afraid the quality wouldn't be as good as in the asus. Is the asus with 2 ms response time just the same as the benq basically and good enough for competitive call of duty? Also I'm only assuming the asus is better picture quality. If it isn't just say so and I'll get the benq. And if you think there is a better monitor for console gaming under 200, leave your opinion. Thanks

The clear winner is the ASUS monitor. It has a better pixel pitch, contrast ratio (range of colors), and it costs less (on newegg at least). If you were looking at the BenQ and saw that it has a 1ms response time compared to 2ms on the ASUS then don't get hung up on that. Response times under 5ms barely have any affect on what is being displayed. I always look at the contrast ratio first, because the higher it is, the better the picture will be.

What about the black equalizer in the benq?

It will certainly help, but the ASUS monitor still has a higher range of colors, which has a better effect than the black equalizer.

The one you picked out is a very good deal, but this one will save you from the hell that is vsync:

In case you don't know, vsync is a technology that is used to remove screen tearing from games. However, it will lock you games frame rate to your monitors refresh rate (typically 60hz), and if the frame rate dips, it will dip below 60fps. The monitor I linked you to has a refresh rate that goes up to 76Hz, so most newer games will not need vsync.

So that's the same asus monitor I am looking at just 24 inches instead of 23.6 so wouldn't this one have this too? Also, I am only playing xbox one on it not computer gaming so I only need 60hz so is vsync still something I need to worry about?

Ok, sorry I couldn't find the refresh rate on the one you mentioned, but yes they are pretty much the same (yours has up to 75 Hz and mine has 76 Hz) not a big difference there. Yours would be a better value IMO.
