Hi there! I have a router that extends signal everywhere around my house, but not to my room (no, I can't move the router, or get a new one). As a result of this, I ran a 40m ethernet cable under the carpet, and into my room, which works a treat.

I realised that I needed more than just the one available wire in my room for internet, one for PC, and one for PS4. So I decided to buy a "TP-Link TL-SF1005D 5-Port 10/100Mbps Unmanaged Desktop Switch" which also works great. That gave me an extra few ports for signal in my room, but this doesn't solve the issue of getting no wireless signal in my room.

Does anyone know any kind of adapter that can plug straight into that ethernet switch box, and transmit a wireless signal? As if it were a wireless adapter for a computer, but just not a USB one?

Solution
Just replace the switch with a wireless router. Turn DHCP off on the router in your room, keep the same SSID as your main router and put it on a different channel.
