Hi you guys :bounce:

The GTX 760 is on my list of possible graphic cards, but I was still wondering since it recommends 500w of power and I have a "Fractal Design Tesla R2" that produces 500w.

is 500w too much for my psu to handle with this card?

my system looks like this

Windows 7 ultimate
Intel(R) Core i5-3570K @ 3.40GHz
motherboard ASUS P8Z77-V LE PLUS
Ram 16GB
64 bit

Solution
Nope. The recommendation is for the power supply running the whole system, not just the GTX 760. The GTX 760 itself has a TDP of 170W, so a good 500W PSU is more than plenty.
Option 1 - Manufacturer's Site

http://www.geforce.com/hardware/desktop-gpus/geforce-gtx-760/specifications

Thermal and Power Specs:
97 C = Maximum GPU Temperature (in C)
170 W = Graphics Card Power (W)
500 W = Minimum Recommended System Power (W)
Two 6-pin = Supplementary Power Connectors

Option 2 - Guru3D Power Consumption Tests

http://www.guru3d.com/articles_pages/geforce_gtx_760_review,5.html

Here is Guru3Ds power supply recommendation:

GeForce GTX 760 - On your average system the card requires you to have a 550 Watt power supply unit.
GeForce GTX 760 SLI - On your average system the card requires you to have a 700 Watt power supply unit.

If you are going to overclock GPU or processor, then we do recommend you purchase something with a bit more stamina.

Option 3 - PSU calculator

Given the price structure, and quality of most 500w units, I see nothing to be gained with less than 650 watts .... given your other components, I wud suggest a XFX Core Edition / Corsair TX V2 / Antec HCG / HCP / Seasonic M series.
