Need to install network drivers?

I did a fresh wipe of my hard I've today using DBAN and it has been a year since I have first built my computer. Once windows 7 was installed, I noticed that I was not connected to the Internet. After trouble shooting, it said that I have missing driver for network adapter. I have my computer hard wired into my Motorola surfboard model SBG6580 modem. What drivers am I missing and where and how could I obtain them? Thanks in advance!

The drivers would usually be on the motherboard manufacturer's resource pages for your motherboard and on the support CD that is usually included in the box when you bought it.

If you know the exact Ethernet chip used in your PC, you may also be able to get drivers from the chip vendor itself.
