Computer freezes startup

Hello,

On the screen when I first startup my computer where you can select boot menu, bios etc my computer freezes. I am unable to press any buttons to access BIOS and there is nothing I can do.

I've tried changing ram, disconnecting my hard drive, resetting CMOS and turning my pc off for 30 seconds and holding on button. All the fans on the motherboard are working fine.

Any suggestions? Thanks

Do you know what motherboard your pc is using? Is it a PC from dell or another source? If it by chance It is an ASUS motherboard you can use a utility known as BIOS flashback, which resets you BIOS. With some more information about your computer specs you could probably get more help.

Thanks for your reply, turns out that the hard drive was not connected.
