So, I'm new to the whole PC building thing. All that I've done before is upgrade ram and a GPU, though I am very tech savvy. I record/stream gameplay videos, I do some 3D modeling, and I also edit videos, so I need a pretty powerful PC.
I have decided to water cool, because then I can(probably) get a pretty nice OC and it looks like a cool thing to do, not to mention it looks absolutely awesome.
I've decided on a green color scheme, on the LGA1150 socket. a 4770K seems to be the best choice. Because of the green color scheme, there was only one motherboard to go with, the Sniper M5. The RAM is pretty simple, just get some that doesn't stand out and has decent specs. I went with a simple 1TB caviar blue, I've never used an SSD and therefore I don't really need one. I might upgrade to an SSD in the future, only time will tell. I want to go Crossfire/SLI, only partially due to bragging rights. AMD GFX cards seem to be a good choice, when you can find a non-inflated one. They have a lot of cool looking "technologies" and I was wondering how much of that is just marketing? And how would 2 290s hold up to three 760s? I will be making a custom case, built around this PC. I went with an EVGA 750w gold rated PSU, if I should have a higher wattage, please tell me. I favor the looks of XSPC's water blocks, the LED lighting looks really nice. I've heard good things about Black Ice rads, so I decided to use one of those. I will most likely use distilled water with a killcoil in it, maybe alongside some biocide. The one thing I'm not sure about is the SLI/Crossfire connector, which one should I use?
