Alright so first of all let me just say this.. speak in small words please I dont understad audio cards that much hence why I'm asking on this forumn.
So, I got a budget, its 100 I'm willing to raise it to about 150 or 200 if the sound card is like really exelent.. What i want in a sound card is a good Audio jack and a good microphone jack, I have been getting a hiss from my realtek. I'm not sure if you guys got experience on this problem but you know when you plug the mic in the rear or front and you test it out and it sounds good but has that his? I later learned that the hiss was my stupid realtek because I used my friends usb sound card and it sound crystal clear. I want to recieve that kind of quality, although whats a sound card without sound? I also want good sound quality, good bass good treble good mids good highs and good lows. I also want to know how much of a diffrence the external DAC and a internal dac.. I'm currently looking to spend my money on the creative x-fi hd or the creative x-fi (the 5.1 equivalent of the hd one) I dont know what these sound like or how much they compare to my stock card.. if you guys could tell me any better ones or what the sound cards i stated sound like that would be AWESOME.
