Hello guys,

Recently I've experienced a very weird behavior with my CX600 PSU after my entire house lost power. It was a fast blip, power went off and on right after.

The problem is, everything else came back up normally but my PSU. It took about 10 to 15 minutes to finally work again and is been working fine for weeks now.

That weird behavior already happened once before and now I'm worried about what would happen in the future, like if my PSU is having problems or if it's a factory feature that the PSU remain down for about 10-15 minutes before regaining operations.

I've tested different cables, wall jacks and 2 different Voltage Stabilizers but the PSU remained down until it decided to work again couple of minutes after the power break. (and is been working fine for days)

I've got a new no-break device to avoid going through power issues again but should I be concerned with the PSU or it is supposed to show the behavior above?

Thanks in advance.

The CX600 is a cheap power supply with weak capacitors , I would replace it anyways.

I usually unplug my PSU overnight to avoid using idle power and it powers on after immediately after I turn on my surge protector/voltage stabilizer. Did you try to turn it on during the entire 15 minutes and kept unplugging it or something? my cx 430 runs at Full RPM every so often so I just power it down and it is all good again.

I did try turning the PSU off/on a couple of times during the down time but still it just came back up by itself, during a power cycle, after about 10 minutes. I've confirmed that the mother-board jumpers were all connected and to me really looked like the PSU was on some kind of "warning" state like if it was waiting for power to stabilize. Maybe it doesn't make any sens at all but that's why I'm here after all. I'll start to turn off my PSU overnight like you said.

What would you recommend to hold a GTX770 2gb in case I have to replace this one?
