Hey, I have just gone and got myself some new parts to start upgrading my 'Tide me over' AMD system.

I have currently got:

Case - Coolmaster Storm Stryker
CPU - AMD FX6200 (Stock Cooler)
Mobo - Asus M5A99X EVO
RAM - 8GB Corsair Vengeance 1600Mhz
HDD - 500GB Seagate
SSD - 120GB Sandisk Ultra
PSU - OCZ ZT 750W
GPU - 8500gt

Just so you know i didn't build it lol but bought it cheap and am going to be upgrading most of the important bits in the next few days.

I have bought:

Mobo- Maximus Hero VI
CPU - i7 4770k
GPU - Asus GTX 780

Now are my concerns:

Is my current PSU going to have enough juice?

I'm looking at an ax1200i but at £250 it might be overkill

What shall i use for cooling my CPU?

i want to clock it to 4.2 if not higher.

should i get a closed system i.e h100i

or go for a custom loop?

I'm not really interested in clocking my GPU unless someone talks me into it lol i'm only using 1 monitor for now and if i wanna use more i will look to SLI.

I am upgrading a bit at a time so i know i could do with more RAM/SSD/HDD but i'm getting the essentials out of the way first as they aren't that bad :p

Any help/info/abuse welcome

Thanks in advance :)

The PSU has enough power but it's from an iffy brand. I don't think it's worth upgrading.

If you are only going to be using it for gaming, get an i5 4670k.

The H100i is great for big overclocks. Get it if you have the money.

Ok kwl :) as i say i would have picked corsair myself but it was already built by someone else and was so cheap i couldn't say no :D

I got the 4770k for £15 more than a 4670k so thought why not :p that and im gonna be doing some large database/3d rendering/processor intensive stuff in the future (once i get a shed load more RAM :p)

Great! I had my eye on the h100i but because i have a ginormous case that can house a trillion fans of any size (obviously not but you know what i mean) i wasn't sure if there was a more efficient/bigger alternative closed circuit cooler.

There might be bigger water coolers but the H100i will already deliver all the cooling power you need and more so I don't see why you would get anything more expensive. If it's only 15 more then definitely get the i7.
