So I recently acquired my HDD and SSD, and while looking at my hard drive, I dropped onto the carpeted flooring in my bedroom. It fell from my knee sitting down, so about a 1.5 foot drop at the least. And now I'm very scared that it's broken. Does anyone have experience with this? I've read a few forums about, and people have said to shake it very gently to check for any rattling, and there wasn't any. So I'm wondering if I should just send it back or wait and test it out. By the way, it's a Seagate Barracuda 2TB. Any help or advice is appreciated.

The heads should have been "parked: and the platters were not spinning. I think you will be ok. Jarring an HDD while it is operating is almost certain death/damage.
