After some reading I discovered that I cannot upgrade my current desktop, so will this work for a low/mid budget for gaming or is there a problem? I will be transferring the hdd, ram(6gb ddr3) and optical drive from my current desktop. Also this is my very first build so any other advice would be appreciated. Thank You.

Case: Ultra XBlaster Mid-Tower V2 Case
Motherboard: MSI FM2-A85XA-G43 AMD
CPU: AMD Quad-Core A8-5500 3.2GHz Radeon HD 7560D APU
Graphics: MSI Radeon HD 7770 1GB GDDR5
PSU: Thermaltake TR-600 TR2 600W ATX

More about : good low budget build

The Power supply is really really poor.

Here's a great one.

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks

Power Supply: XFX TS 550W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply ($59.99 @ Newegg)
Total: $59.99
(Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available.)

Yes the psu is the most important part in the sence that it powers everything. Quality Components is key here.

And to get the most out of your games with that radeon remember to activate the amd overdrive in ccc so you can put the gpu fan at 100%

And hand in hand with that setting goes radeonpro and tripple buffering otherwice those horses under the hood never gets to stretch ther legs.

Read up on it, google is your friend!

There's room for improvement.

Your PSU is not good. The one Blackbird recommended is great.

You don't need an APU since you have a real graphics card. You could go to an Athlon X4 750K. It's about the same as your APU, but it's a bit faster and it's cheaper because it's pretty much the same as your APU minus the redundant integrated graphics chip.
