I'm currently using a USB wifi adapter. Its alright, it works, usually. Every 2 hours or so, I'll get drops, or about 1-2 minutes where its either in and out or completely unresponsive. I play a game that requires constant attention and I need consistency. Will using a direct motherboard connection give me constant internet? More stable? http://goo.gl/8eqvQl http://goo.gl/f6nXS4 Sorry if this doesn't fit well in this forum but I felt as though it would receive more attention.

It depends on how good the adapter is really. I have had a few usb wifi adapters that have worked amazingly well. Most of the adapters that have worked well for me have been the cheapo ones that only cost like $15 or 20 bucks. I have noticed that usb 3.0 does seem to work more consistently than the usb 2.0 ports. I also have had good 1X adapters work extremely well also. I think it just depends on both the router that you connect to, the environment, and the quality of the adapter. Try updating both the drivers for your usb and the adapter. Then check for updates for your router. What I would also do is check for anything that could be causing this to happen. Like fallow a simple guide like this...
