PC Upgrade Help

I have a gateway dx4850-27eu i5 2300 2.8ghz, 1.5tb, 8gb RAM, 300w power supply. This is my plan on improving, i just need to make sure all of these parts are compatible. Any advice would be greatly appreciated as well:

It looks like you can add a graphics card. But you'd need a more powerful Power Supply for a R9 290.

I'm not sure if you can fit a normal ATX PSU. Or if this dell has normal motherboard connections. Anyone?

im only getting that card because i am buying it from a friend for 300. idk what type of power supply i need for it or how many watts

650W is OK. Just get a good brand - Corsair, Seasonic, XFX
