Overclocking help! cant get a stable 4.2 fx 8320

hi i have been trying to overclock my fx 8320 but i cant get a stable 4.2 volts i have tried many volts , i am using the programm aida64 and it has a feature pretty much like cpuz my speed sometimes jumps up to 4.2 but it mostly stays on 1.4 and i am stress testing, wth can i do!! thanks for the help guys

i have seen that but i dont really get it lol i want someone to try and give me for example what voltage i should be using i have tried many and at least one core always crashes
 
Do you mean the MSI 970A-G46?

That is the 970 chipset and that isn't the best for OC (4.2GHz shouldn't be a problem though), the problem could also be your PSU, what PSU do you have? Some have poor capacitors and do poorly at OC, this could be a factor in your problem.

There are problems linked with MSI 970 motherboards and AMD 8-Core CPU's, they don't tend to mix well.
