Hi guys,

I need a desktop that plays League with at least 60FPS. I have ~$500 to spend and ive been searching for weeks to find that one computer that has what i need.

This is the desktop im looking at right now.

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/CyberPowerPC+-+Gamer+Xtreme...

^^ with that being $479.99 atm, with taxes it comes to a total of $512.32.

Seems like a decent desktop. I dont know much about PC gaming and from what ive been reading is that League isnt a real demanding game, but this is what i would like:

Quad core Intel i3
Decent nVidia or AMD video card ( that can run League on Medium - High settings)
8GB RAM

What im playing League on now:

HP Pavilion 2009m
AMD Athlon II x2 215 Processors (2 CPUs) ~2.7GHz
4GB RAM
nVidia GeForce 6150SE nForce 430

*and i run everything on very low settngs, with no shadows, AA, and i still get like 25FPS when not in team fights and about 7-15 FPS when in team fights. I CANNOT FUNCTION LIKE THAT lol

Does anyone else have any suggestions as to what i should do. I could build my own, but i would rather get one premade so i can upgrade if i wanted too.

Thanks guys in advance for any feedback/suggestions.

Your pc and the prebuilt you are looking at has no dedicated graphics card so neither run league that well. I think you have it backwards, building your own makes it possible to upgrade in the future not the other way around. Also most games are almost all GPU power so if you have the option of upgrading to better graphics that would probably run league fine. The GeForce GTX 750 Ti 150$ can run on pci express power with no need for external auxiliary connector .

Shows how much I know about PC Gaming lol.

So like i said, i have been doing some research and alot of people said it would be much better and cheaper to build my own.
Can someone please make me a build that is ~$500 that will run league of legends with no hiccups on medium - high settings? the website i trust and use is

Thanks in advance guys agian.

derp question. What is a cabinet? and no, i do not need a hard drive, but if you want to add one i did a 250GB.

If a cabinet is the tower case, i chose one that looked good. I think it was roughly like $40 - $45.

Yes cabinet refers to tower case or chassis.

But here's the thing: If you could use your old tower case and HDD I could fit a I5 4440 and a NVidia GEFORCE GTX 760 into your budget along with good PSU and RAM.

So tell me the name and model of the cabinet (tower case) that will save you money because you'll be still using it.
But it might not have good enough airflow.

Also can you extend your budget by about 50 - 70$?

I could use my old HDD but the tower case i have is a HP Pavilion 2009m Slim Series. Would that interfere with the possibility of me upgrading in the future?

And I would definitly spend the extra $70 for a well built PC that will last me a few years. Btw, the fans and stuff are no big deal. I could get them after i get the PC. Those can come shortly after.

This should be where you need to be to play League at respectable settings, assuming you reuse your old HDD and Optical drive. You have to buy a copy of windows because you can't transfer the one from your old HP to your new computer, laws and such. Even though the 4130 is a dual core, the two cores it has run equally as well as the FX6300 (which is a six-core), so you actually get better performance in a game like league.

You'll have to reinstall windows, which means reformatting your old HD, so backup any important files (documents and pictures only, not programs, those aren't transferable, they have to be reinstalled) before building the new system.

Hi again guys,

Sorry for the absence from the site. Thanks everyone for their help in trying to give me a good build for a decent price. I found out what the problem was and that was making my FPS drop to like 7-10, It was my antivirus scans running every 20 min. When I installed the software the default settings were to run a scan every 20 min. I've since switched all the scan settings to manual and now im getting 60 FPS stable out of battles and a steady 30 FPS in big team battles. I can live with that.

But again, I thank all of you for your help and time giving me ideas on how to build a PC. I will still invest into building my own desktop one day when the funds are there but I've saved all of the recommended builds that you guys posted.

Again,

Thanks
