Intel : i5 4670k and a R9 270X

or

AMD : FX 6300 and a GTX 770

I will play games like GTA V (when it cums out), BF4, WATCH DOGS, Crysis 3, Farcry3, Dead space 3 and other games at max out or ultra settings

my resolution : 1024 x 768 with my old VGA monitor

More about : amd build intel build

You can run high settings with both builds but I don't think you'll be able to max our things like Crysis 3.

For your resolution both cards would be an overkill. I would say the R7 260x would be more than enough at this resolution and for a little bit of future proofing you can get the GTX 660 or the R9 270. The i5 is a much better chip than the FX 6300, but if you are not overclocking you can get an i5 with a locked a multiplier which is cheaper than the i5 you picked.

You really need a new monitor. But I would say to get the FX 6300 and GTX 770. That way when you get a new monitor it'll be awesome.

Which ever rig has you ending up with the 770 the difference between the 4670 and the 6300 is not as big as the 770 and 270x

And yet since both are an overkill for this resolution, it is irrelevant. Also getting the stronger CPU at the moment will allow for a better upgrade path for his graphics card in the future if he is ever to buy a higher resolution monitor. In CPU intensive tasks and badly optimized games the i5 will kill the FX-6300 as well and with a significantly large margin.

Upgrade your monitor. Some games require at least 720p resolution, anyway.

yes you should surely be getting yourself a new monitor

You should get the FX 6300 and cut back a little on the graphics card so you can get a new monitor. All those fancy new graphics won't look that great on a 1024 x 768 resolution.

I can't help but ask... But do you already have all the other parts you need to put the computer together?

I got the other parts, all I need is the mobo, CPU and GPU. and I am not planning to buy a monitor, cause a 1020p resolution monitor cause like a 100$ here in my country

and if anybody wondering I got a flatscreen monitor,

you may think its a BIG fat monitor back in the days lol.

Then the R9 270 or the GTX 660 with the i5 is the way to go!
Even for a 1080p monitor the GTX 760 should be sufficient and I think that will allow for you to buy a Haswell i5 as well, and if you are not overclocking a locked i5 like the i5-4440 can be $50 cheaper the the 4670k.
The GTX 760 is also about $60 cheaper than the GTX 770. With that you can afford buying a new 1080p monitor.

They say GTX 660 is slower than the R9 270X right ? what is the difference of R9 270 and R9 270X

Best solution

I edited my previous comment. The GTX 760 is faster than the R9 270x and if you are not overclocking the i5-4440 is the way to go. With that you can squeeze in a budget for a decent 1080p monitor as well that will give you a much better gaming experience.

Ok but I will overclock after I dunno 2-3 years ? when this i5 is slowing because the advancement of games and software ?

Even overclocked the FX-6300 won't even be anywhere near as fast an i5-4440 in most situations. Although games are getting more multi-threaded and DirectX12 is claimed to be much more well multithreaded than its predecessor, it is still no guarantee that a slower chip at the moment with a couple of more weaker integer cores will be more future proof than the locked i5-4440. If you want to get the 4670k then that is perfectly fine, but in this case you will have to wait until you can save up and get a better monitor.

with the advent of the weak 8 core chips in the xbox1/ps4 you can guarantee that multi coire threading in dx12 will be huge

comes down to price and how long you think your gonna be using it if you plan on upgrading in 2 years then intel quad core all the way you just pay more now if you think you will be hoiding on to this for the long haul probably better to get the more cores and a better gpu.

I could upgrade to a FX 8320 ? how about that ?

but the GTX 770 will become a GTX 760 xD

EDIT :

or a R9 280X

There are no grantees here but I would personally stick with Intel, like I previously suggested. I think my suggestion is the best solution possible for your situation. Don't forget that it is still more than one year and a half before DirectX12 is released, and the way most games released at the moment make them run better on Intel chips than comparable AMD offerings. Also since you are on a tight budget getting the FX-6300 now only to upgrade later to a FX-8320 is not a good move IMO. The FX line will hit its end of life by the next year so keep that in mind.
