I have an ASUS Gryphon z87. What drivers do I install for my motherboard. I'm not too sure I downloaded everything. Can you make a list on the ASUS website on what I NEED to download?

And I'm not really looking for the graphics drivers. I already have a dedicated GPU. Kind of looking for the CPU driver itself.

Do I only download chipset drivers for the CPU?

Generally the only "cpu driver" I can think of is the integrated graphics driver. If you have a card then you probably don't need it, but I like to have it anyway (it's not like 250-500 mb is a lot of space and it never gave me problems). The dedicated graphics card driver comes from the site that made your card (so like nvidia/amd)

Make sure you select the OS you have

The drivers are for the motherboard and would be the latest releases of: Chipset, Audio, VGA, LAN, and maybe SATA if you use the stuff that those drivers are for. You can also download utilities that are able to work with your board (like thermal radar in ai suite) as well as BIOS updates under BIOS

*In theory your board should have also come with a driver disc. but generally those are older and it would probably be better to just get the newest ones from online

Go here then select the OS you have. Then download whichever driver you wish to update. Then you'll have to load them once they are down downloading.

Ok, so then chipset drivers are the ones that allows the CPU to work?

The CPU will work even if you don't download the drivers
