Intel? AMD? And which ones will fit with my motherboard?

Hi I am wondering which brand processor I should look into getting that is best for gaming, and which ones will fit with my motherboard. I recently purchased a GeForce GTX760 2GB but am still getting random FPS drops in game throughout the time I'm playing.

So I'm beginning to figure that it's my processor that needs upgrading. I currently have the AMD FX Series Vishera 6300.

This is my current PC but the graphics card and PSU that are listed on the specs have been upgraded: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883258067

I don't have an exact budget but nothing over $220 would be nice. But if it isn't my processor that needs upgrading any other recommendations are welcomed. Thanks.

Currently League of Legends is dropping in FPS quite frequently. And no I have Windows 8 and look into getting Windows 7 soon.

Yeah I just installed the drivers since the graphics card came today. And I have checked the temps while gaming and they usually seem to be normal

Oh sorry I thought I replied to your other post. I'm currently not able to do any of that right now but if you want the numbers tomorrow I could get them to you with a screenshot.

its cool but here is a few things you can do make sure your computers power settings are in high performance and go into advanced settings then click performance then you will get a screen where you can check or uncheck boxes check the button for performance this will make the desktop look plain but will maximize the performance your computer can give out in games
