I put a hard drive out of a HP Pavilion tx2500 Notebook, running windows vista 32bit in a Gateway notebook model no. MX6214. It boots up and operates seemingly without problems. The monitor is the main trouble and after investigating I realized there is no device driver. It runs on a generic vgasave driver. So after digging deeper I see that there are several resource conflicts which I gather come from the HP software working on the Gateway motherboard.

Is there a way without re installing a fresh os where I can fix this.

For starters you've broken the terms of the Microsoft licence which forbids you from swapping the pre-installed OS over to another laptop.

Also, as you already discovered, for technical reasons you have to re-install Windows from scratch when you use a hard drive that's come from another laptop. What you've done just doesn't work.
