Hi! New to the forum so hello and thanks for your answers in advance
Ok I am running win7 64bit, on a P67 asus sabretooth MB, i7 proc with numerous hhd's and an SSD for the system drive. 16gb ram etc
The issue i have is that i have 2 x Seagate 2TB BARRACUDA 3.5" running on the sata3 outputs (marvell i think). When i boot up i can see both drives during the boot session, i can see the drives when windows fully boots. I can use the drives i.e to play games on (one of them is partitioned for games only). When i then leave the PC for about 2 minutes i get the sound like a usb has been disconnected and i can see one of the drives (both partitions including my games DISASTER!!!) disappear from the menu bar of explorer.
When i reboot the drives reappear but then go again after about 2-3 mins. I added these drive just over a year ago and have had no problems until now. This only seems to have happened since i added an evaluation copy of Diskeeper to clean up the ssd.
I am at a loss. I have searched the forum for answers to this and most seem to indicate that the sata lead needs to be replaced. Before i go tearing the machine apart i would like to get the communities take on this.
