I have just bought a 500 g 840 evo ssd and the corsair hhd or ssd cloning kit so i cloned my hhd to ssd and i thought it would clone/migrate my os aswell but it didn't so i plugged in in the ssd where the hdd was and booted up but it just said "select a proper boot device and reboot" so im wondering if this happed cuz i didn't have a os installed on the ssd?? cuz now i have found a program that migrates ur OS partition to another hdd or ssd so i just wonder if i do this will it boot or will it just say same as before "select a proper boot device and reboot" cuz after u migrated it removes the os on the old hdd or ssd so i only have one try so pleeeeeaaase help me here

i have and i understand how it works but i wonder, is it 100% that i can just simply boot up on the ssd and have everything be as it was before on the hdd?

That worked for me. I purchased a SSD with a kit when i bought my Acer As8950G. I installed a few apps and i had to order a cable to be able to move the HDD. When I received the cable i used the cloning software Acronis True Image and put the SSD in the external drive and moved the OS to the SSD. I then removed the HD and moved it to the second bay and added the SSD and it booted right up and has been for 3 years.
