i need to update my processor as the one i currently have lets me down when it comes to games
i'm either going to buy the i7 3770k or 4770k
i don't know how to overclock but i could learn this in the future
i read the 4770k as 10% more power than 3770k
is it worth the extra money for the 4770k?
the 3770 and 4770 are 3.4Ghz
where as the 3770k and 4770k start at 3.5Ghz so even if i don't learn how to overclock the extra 0.1Ghz will make it slighty better anyways?
please advise thanks

The 3770k is a better deal since it overclocks better.

a few dollars are worth paying to get newer technology but anything over 10% i would call a waste. just make sure the 3770 is new too so you get the same 3years warranty.

if o/c isnt in your plans 3770k isnt really an option and 4770 should do just fine the 0.1ghz wont be any noticable difference. also extra money will be needed for tthe o/c version the mobo
pairs should be like this 3770 and H77
3770k and Z77 for o/c ability
4770 and H87
4770k and Z87 for o/c ability

also be a little patient cause haswell refresh is on the way.! also some current z87 mobo will be supporting the new cpu!

If overclock is not in your plans, a 1230 v3 is the way to go.
