Will "Necola g31 socket 775" motherboard - support c2d e8500 3.2ghz? currently running pentium D 820 2.80ghz on it. Looking for an upgrade!
I am confused because both has difference lithography c2d : 45nm and Pentium D : 90nm

Solution
I had a Core 2 Duo E7500 with a HD 7770 with 4 GB of Ram . Even after having a Decent GPU I was not able to run Modern Games like Battlefield 4 without Lags .... It was Full of Lags due to the Processor bottleneck . If you wish to stick with your GT 620 then there is no Problem but If you upgrade your Graphics Card then I suggest you to get a Good Processor otherwise Upgrading to new Graphics would be a Total Waste of Money .

Its a 775 socket + Its a G31 Chipset which were made for C2D . The Pentiums used 900 Series Chipset .

Its should work without a Problem but If you can get more Money then please don't buy a out dated Motherboard . If you want to do Gaming then getting a 775 is the Worst Choice .

No, it's not a biostar motherboard. It's "necola".
And I already have the motherboard and Pentium D 820 2.8ghz running on it coupled with a gt 620 and 2gb ddr2 ram, I was getting c2d e8500 3.2ghz for really cheap so I thought will it work on my motherboard? Should I just swap it off?
Because now even Google Chrome lags on this processor and no games can be played even at lowest settings at playable fps(the cpu usage goes to 100%).

Necola NMB G-31

On the box it says supports 45nm support and a c2d sticker but I am running pentium D 820 (90nm) on it.
TAGLINE : Time to tech. lol.

Yes the site shows c2d e8500 compatible but the problem is I am currently running Pentium D 820 and it is not there in the list :??:

Admirable
I was actually looking at the gains from upgrading to that processor and it didn't look like to much it said at max about 23% Sometimes you can fix cpu usage by typing msconfig and disabling startup stuff that you don't really need. If you are running like 1 or 2 gigs of ram you could also upgrade to 4 gigs which I have found on older systems to help with the cpu usage for some reason

max 23% is pretty good mind you, but if it is going to cost a lot then it probably isn't the best upgrade choice.
