Ok Motherboard is ASUS Sabertooth 990FX R2.0. SSDs are Crucial M500 120GBs.
Trying to Install Windows 7 Pro 64bit on the array.
Sata channels 1-4 are set to RAID 1-2 have the SSD's connected.
Sata channels 5-6 are set to IDE the optical drive with windows 7 I want to install is on one of these.
I have set the drives up to RAID 0 in the bios
Pressing ctrl+f on startup shows me that the 2 drives are there and in raid 0
trying to install windows it comes up showing no drives. I click load driver pick the windows 7 x64 raid driver from the mobo disk it acts like its installing it then it comes back and still says no drives are connected. click refresh still nothing. I have tried the driver on the disk as well as the updated driver from the ASUS website. Am I missing a step?

If those M500 arenew one, you may need use other computer to format the SSD first, then connect them back to the 990fx, then the PC will recognize them.

Did you get this to work?

I'm at the same stage as you but I'm installing Windows 8.1 from USB and windows can't see the 2xCrucial 240 GB M500's which are set to RAID 0.

I have the latest SATA driver's from the Asus website and none of the work.

Did you try formatting the drives in another PC and did that work?
